Duquesne University Baseball Revisited

by tonyv 30. November 2010 15:42

Earlier the Duquesne University Administration blindsided Duquesne's baseball coaches and players by ending its baseball program. Many of the players elected to stay at Duquesne and finish their education as they were able to keep their scholarship grants and not lose any credits from transferring. The timing of the announcement also made it difficult because most schools had used up their 2010-2011 aid money. Here is a list of the local players who transferred and where they ended up:

Andy Heck, North Hills                       Oklahoma State

Ricky Devereaux, West Allegheny       Pitt

Anthony DeFabio, Plum                     Pitt

Christian Wheeler, Upper St Clair       Washington & Jefferson

Ty Bowen, Bethel Park                       Point Park

Jackson Boyd, North Allegheny           Seton Hill

Jim Devine, Pgh Central Catholic          Temple

Brad Duffy, Vincentian                      Mercyhurst

Mike Ganley, Bethel Park                   West Chester

Matt Carson, Bethel                           Transferred to Pitt but not playing baseball
